Feringa Building in Groningen

Project scope

The Feringa Building is a new building for the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the State University of Groningen. The new building (64.000 m2) consists out of three V-wings and will house approximately 1400 students and 850 employees. Besides offices and lectures rooms, the building will also contain a wide range of exceptional laboratories, among which physical, (bio) chemical and vibration-free labs.

Head of Contract Management and part of the Contract Management Team Responsible for organizing and continuously optimizing the procurement and contract management process, including managing subcontractors. Our philosophy is when we manage our own execution organization and subcontractors within the Fidic contract, it will result in a successful collaboration. Risk management By managing risks, we enable to make well founded strategic choices and to implement practical and pragmatic control measures, based on a cost-benefit analysis. Document Control Responsible for archiving and recording of documents in an unambiguous manner and maintaining direct communication with the project client Schiphol Netherlands B.V. Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM)

Project scope

Continuation of the A15 from the Ressen junction to the A12 between Duiven and Zevenaar. A new bridge, with a lenght of about 2,5 km, which crosses the Pannerdensch Kanaal, near Groessen/Helhoek. The A12 between Westervoort and junction Oud-Dijk will be provided with extra lanes, as will the A15 between junctions Valburg and Ressen. The A15 will be extended and connected to the A12, creating a direct connection between the port of Rotterdam and Germany. After completion, GelreGroen will be responsible regarding maintenance of 20 years. More information can be found at: www.via15.nl.

Part of the Contract Management Team on behalf of the EPC; Generating and reviewing substantive and financial input in the variation process with Rijkswaterstaat; (Co) responsible for the development and implementation of the (model) contracts for the procurement and outsourcing process, and the associated working documents; Procurement and (sub) contract management for various sub-areas and disciplines, for example the design and implementation activities for the bridge across the Pannerdensch Kanaal and other civil engineering packages, rail related activities, various consultancy agreements and civil engineering related contracts; Outsourcing and contracting of integrated packages partly based on forms of cooperation, such as the Construction Team [Dutch: Bouwteam].
